One of the simplest things you can do to improve your health AND even lose some weight is to drink more water.
Drinking water is like washing out your insides. Water cleanses your whole system, it fills you up and improves the function of all your tissues.
The rule of thumb is to get 8, 8 oz. glasses or 64 oz. every day. But EVERYBODY is different, if you exercise more, are taking medication, it’s hot, etc. you might need more or less. The best way to tell what’s right for you is to drink enough so that when you pee it’ almost clear! (TMI?)
Have you ever tried to get this much??? It’s not easy and it takes some planning.
Here are 5 Sensible and Realistic ways to drink more water every day:
1. Set a goal and plan for it.
My goal is to get 64 oz or more a day. Here is how I get it done!
I have two cups of warm water in the morning with lemon (addicted to this habit BTW)
Then I fill up two water bottles that hold 2 cups each (it would be easier if they were 3 cups but I like these bottles). In the evening I get another 2 cups before dinner and WA LA, 64 oz!
2. Buy or Make up a custom water bottle with deadlines.
An easy way to keep your goals (literally) in sight. You could certainly do this your self but look at what I found on amazon! (click on the picture for the link)

4. Infuse your water with fruits, vegetables, or herbs so it tastes yummy.

5. Make a water wager.
Wrangle up friends or co-workers to join you! Set your goal, set up shared calendar reminders, check in on each other, etc. Feeling extra competitive? Place a friendly bet.
